Incoloy 800 Chemical Composition
Alloy 800 consists primarily of iron (76%), nickel (32%), chromium
(21%), manganese (1.5%), silicon (1.5%), and carbon (0.15%).
Additionally, it also contains trace amounts of aluminum, cobalt,
copper, molybdenum, sulfur, and titanium. This combination of
elements gives Incoloy 800 excellent resistance to oxidation at
high temperatures up to 1120°F (600°C). The alloy also demonstrates
good strength and toughness even at cryogenic temperatures down to
-320°F (-195°C).
