Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-based superalloy with excellent
corrosion resistance and high temperature properties. It is widely
used in a variety of harsh environments, especially in highly
corrosive media and high temperature conditions. The following are
the main uses of Hastelloy C-276 sheets:
1. Chemical industry
Used in the manufacture of chemical reactors, heat exchangers,
evaporators and piping systems.
Suitable for the treatment of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid,
phosphoric acid, chlorine and other corrosive media.
Excellent performance in wet chlorine, chloride and organic acid
environments.
2. Oil and gas industry
Used in offshore and onshore oil and gas production equipment such
as pipelines, valves and pumps.
Suitable for high sulfur oil and gas environment, resistance to
hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and chloride corrosion.
3. Environmental protection and flue gas desulfurization (FGD)
system
- Used in flue gas desulfurization equipment, resistant to sulfuric
acid, chloride and fluoride corrosion.
- It is widely used in coal-fired power plants and industrial waste
gas treatment systems.
4. Pharmaceutical and food processing
- For the manufacture of corrosion resistant reaction vessels, pipes
and storage tanks.
- In line with health standards, suitable for high purity media
processing.
5. Pulp and paper industry
- Used in bleaching equipment and chemical recovery systems to resist
the corrosion of chlorine gas and chloride.
6. Nuclear industry
- Used for nuclear fuel reprocessing equipment to resist the
corrosion of radioactive media.
7. Ocean engineering
- For seawater treatment equipment, desalination systems and offshore
platforms, resistant to seawater and salt spray corrosion.
8. Aerospace
- For components in high temperature and corrosive environments, such
as engines and exhaust systems.
9. Other applications
- Manufacture corrosion-resistant fasteners, flanges and seals.
- For heat exchangers and condensers in high temperature and pressure
environments.
Hastelloy C-276 Main characteristics
