Moreover, it is an advanced version of SS 316. This advanced version has corrosion resistance and high strength. The use of this grade steel gives good resistant and strength to the pipes and tubes. On the other hand, the SS317L has an improved corrosion resistant due to the lower carbon content. Therefore, the pipes and tubes are resistant towards sensitization as well. This makes the welding and thermal processes easier. Under the annealed condition, the pipes and tubes display their non-magnetic property. However, they show a slight magnetic property because of welding.
